Southern New Hampshire University Culinary Art Students to Prepare Next New Hampshire Growers' Dinner IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact:
Chef Perrin Long CEC, AAC and Culinary Students from Southern New Hampshire University's Culinary Art program will host the next dinner in the 2005 New Hampshire Growers' Dinner series. The event will be held on October 14 at the Hospitality Center Restaurant, 2500 North River Rd, Manchester. Chef Long and his students have developed a delicious Autumn-inspired menu for the evening featuring locally grown vegetables, pork, venison, cheese, apples and maple syrup. Growers' Dinners are promotional events coordinated by the New Hampshire Farm to Restaurant Connection, a program linking New Hampshire farms and food producers with New Hampshire restaurants. The October 14th dinner hosted by Southern New Hampshire University is the ninth in a series of dinners scheduled from June through October at restaurant locations around the state. Growers' Dinners highlight local farm products and producers. Chefs create special dishes that feature the products of selected New Hampshire farmers. Menus are created to promote the event, and to use as on-going public relations for both the farms and participating restaurants. These programs also help to heighten awareness among the public for the quality, variety and availability of local products throughout New Hampshire. Both consumers and businesses are encouraged to purchase and enjoy New Hampshire's own whenever possible. The evening in Manchester begins at 6:30 pm. Space is limited and reservations are required. For dinner details and reservations, call 644-3128.
