Luca’s Mediterranean Café to Host Next in

 NH Growers’ Dinner Series

Luca’s Mediterranean Cafe of Keene will be the site of the second New Hampshire Growers’ Dinner in the 2007 series of special dinner events that highlight the use of local farm and food products at local restaurants. Chef/Owner, Luca Paris, will be directing the evening’s culinary activities.

Chef Paris was born in Turin, Italy and raised in New York City.  He and his wife, Lindy owned and operated an Italian gourmet food and catering shop in New York and a fine dining restaurant in Westchester County, NY. Both are graduates of Johnson & Wales University. Luca’s Mediterranean Café represents a long-held dream to own a restaurant that offers true Mediterranean style cuisine.

Chef Paris is a local media celebrity in addition to operating the café. He hosts a weekly radio program in Keene called “What’s Cooking? with Luca” and is a regular on WMUR-TV’s “Cook’s Corner”.  He also hosts “A Culinary Journey with Luca Paris” on community access television, Cheshire TV.  He shares favorite recipes and philosophy through these venues.

The NH Growers Dinner at Luca’s is set for July 10 and Chef Paris plans to create a variety of dishes featuring the flavors of Italy, France and Spain.  Fresh ingredients will be procured from local farm resources.

Growers’ Dinner events are coordinated by the New Hampshire Farm to Restaurant Connection, a program linking New Hampshire farms with New Hampshire restaurants.   The Growers’ Dinner at Luca’s Mediterranean Café is the second is the 2007 series of New Hampshire dinners being held from June to November.
